Throughout its history the American Watercolor Society (est. 1866) has been a magnet for the best water-media artists.  Its flagship event is the Annual Exhibition, which nowadays attracts more than 1200 entrants from around the world.  In 2011 the AWS committed to moving beyond simple and labor-intensive means of tracking members and exhibition entrants and implemented Armature.  Now the AWS is able to track all aspects of members and their activities within the Society, retain important information about who is entering its exhbitions, and manage relationships with donors and other interested parties.  Entry in the Annual Exhibition for 2012 (in the Fall of 2011) was for the first time available online via a simple web page, and members and other entrants could pay dues or the approriate entry fee, make a donation, buy a catalog, and check their entry status, all online at their convenience.

 

The Art Center | Fairmount • Queen Village

Founded in 2004, Philly Art Center offers a large range of programs for adults and children alike:  Weekly classes, one-time workshops, parties for all ages, single-day camps whenever schools are closed, week-long summer camps, a full after school program with walking pick up at area schools, private lessons, art therapy, music classes, and more.   Armature gives Philly Art Center the flexibiitly to register students for classes, single days of vacation camps, workshops, parties, facility rentals, and more. In 2011 Philly Art Center opened in a second location across the city from its Art Museum area facility. Both locations are recognized in Armature, which can be accessed from either location.

 

 The Clay Studio, Philadelphia

 The Clay Studio in Philadelphia is one of the premier centers for the promotion of ceramic arts in the world. It provides studio space and exhibition access to a broad array of artists and residents, and through its educational programs promotes access to the ceramic arts to every level of interest and expertise in the Philadelphia community and beyond.  Armature has helped The Clay Studio consolidate its school programs, extensive shop and gallery sales, and member and donor development in a unified database.  Management and reporting are streamlined, procedures and protocols are standardized.
